چکیده:

Newcastle disease (ND) is one of the most important diseases of avian species across the world. The Game, captive and pet birds along with back yard flocks are among the sources of infections in poultry industry. Based on the fusion gene, a polymerase chain reaction were developed for molecular detection of Newcastle disease in the above mentioned population. The assay, if it is coupled with sequence analysis, can also be employed for vaccinated birds, as the amplicon encompass the cleavage site marker. This simple assay can be used for molecular detection of NDV in a range of susceptible birds.
